How can I connect with professors in very large classes?

Last modified 4/22/2025

Audience: Illinois State University students

It can often be difficult to connect with professors and others in large lectures. Consider sitting toward the front of your lecture hall, and make an effort to be engaged and contribute in class when possible. You can also connect by going to office hours with questions for your professor or TA and attending any review or study sessions. You can ask nearby classmates a question and see if they'd like to share notes or study together.
